Rosneft Aero is awarded a contract to fuel Aeroflot aircrafts in Sheremetyevo

Rosneft Aero, a subsidiary of Rosneft, was awarded a contract to fuel Aeroflot aircrafts at Moscow Sheremetyevo airport in 2019. The contract is for a total of 990 thousand tonnes of aviation fuel. It accounts for 54% of the total planned refuelling needs of Aeroflot Group airplanes at Sheremetyevo airport.

When choosing Rosneft Aero airlines consider such criteria as high quality of services, timely delivery of fuel and ability to provide refueling at multiple airports. 

Since the launch of operations at Sheremetyevo Airport in 2013, Rosneft Aero had supplied a total of 4.5 million tons of aviation fuel to various airlines.

The cooperation between Rosneft Aero and Aeroflot dates back to 2009. Today Aeroflot airplanes are refuelled at Rosneft facilities in 17 airports across Russia, including Sheremetyevo in Moscow, Koltsovo in Yekaterinburg, Knevichi in Vladivostok, Emelyanovo in Krasnoyarsk and others.


Aeroflot is largest Russian airline. The company is ranked among the top 20 largest airlines in the world. It is a member of SkyTeam, the second largest aviation alliance in the world. In 2018 the total number of Aeroflot passengers was 35.8 million, the passenger traffic for all Aeroflot Group was 55.7 million.
